How long does it take to learn SQL?
The basics (SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY and joins) take one to two weeks of daily practice. Writing fast queries and designing good tables takes a few months of real projects.
MySQL or PostgreSQL: which should I learn first?
Either. The SQL you learn works in both with small differences. MySQL is common with PHP and WordPress work; PostgreSQL is common in newer web and data jobs.
