About this course
An interview-oriented operating systems course in Hindi from the CodeHelp channel, 32 lectures and about 16 hours. It explains what an OS is, its types, multitasking versus multithreading, components, system calls with hands-on examples, booting, 32-bit versus 64-bit systems and storage types. It then covers process creation, states, context switching, orphan and zombie processes, FCFS, SJF, priority, round robin and multilevel feedback scheduling, concurrency with C++ threads, critical sections, race conditions, condition variables and semaphores, the producer-consumer, reader-writer and dining philosophers problems, and deadlock handling. The final part covers memory allocation, paging, segmentation, virtual memory, page replacement and thrashing, with LeetCode concurrency problems.
Before you start: Basic programming, ideally in C++.
