About this course

CrashCourse's economics series with Adriene Hill and Jacob Clifford: 35 lively episodes of about 10 minutes plus an intro, around six hours in all. It begins with what economics is, specialisation and trade, economic systems, and supply and demand, then turns to macroeconomics: GDP, productivity and growth, inflation, fiscal policy and stimulus, monetary policy and the central bank, and how the 2008 financial crisis happened. Later episodes cover economic schools of thought, globalisation and poverty, then microeconomic ideas such as marginal analysis and elasticity, price controls and subsidies, environmental economics, revenue and profit, game theory and oligopoly, and labour markets and the minimum wage. A quick, friendly overview before a full university course.
