About this course
A short British Council series of 20 practical speaking lessons, each about three to five minutes, that teaches the exact phrases for everyday situations. Topics include meeting someone face to face, showing interest, talking about other people, saying where you are from, asking for a favour, making suggestions, challenging someone's ideas politely, talking about personal interests and giving instructions. Each video models the language in a short scene and then explains it. It is a quick, high-quality course for learners who understand English but freeze when they need to speak, and pairs well with a longer grammar course.
