About this course
Professor Gilbert Strang's classic MIT linear algebra lectures, recorded in 2005. After a short interview on teaching the subject, the lectures cover the geometry of linear equations, elimination with matrices, multiplication and inverses, LU factorisation, vector spaces and subspaces, the four fundamental subspaces, orthogonality and projections, least squares, determinants and eigenvalues. It suits university students in engineering, CS and data science. Watch 3Blue1Brown's Essence of Linear Algebra alongside for intuition; follow with MIT 18.065 or a machine-learning course.
